Fogging Alert!
Santa Clara County Vector Control just announced their next scheduled spraying this Thursday, June 23 in San Jose starting at 11:00PM. Here is their press release:
“The Santa Clara County Vector Control District has confirmed that adult mosquitoes collected from the 95136, 95123, and 95118 ZIP code areas of the city of San José have tested positive for West Nile virus (WNV). The detection of mosquitoes infected with WNV has prompted the scheduling of a mosquito fogging treatment in the surrounding areas in an effort to prevent human cases of WNV. Weather permitting, the ground fogging operations are scheduled for 11 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, and will conclude a few hours later. A map of the area could be seen here.
On Thursday and Friday, June 23 and 24, vector control staff will answer questions via a dedicated phone line/voicemail (800-314-2427) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Questions can also be submitted by email to vectorinfo@deh.sccgov.org.”
